Mission

The concept of starting an organization that caters exclusively to military women is not a new one. What makes Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority, Inc. different from other organizations is our unique mission: “We aspire to HONOR past female service members, UNITE present female service members & MENTOR future leadership of our Armed Forces.”

Vision

To revolutionize the face of the American Veteran and include the influences and diversity of women, who have served and continue to serve with HONOR in service to our nation and communities. To UNITE this illustration of sisterhood throughout the nation and abroad through works that exemplify the customary principles on which all branches of the service were founded. To provide innovative agendas that enhances opportunities to MENTOR to women of all ages regardless of race, color or creed.

History

As an organization of Elite Professionals, Kappa Epsilon Psi (KEΨ) strives to continue building relationships and establishing Chapters on every U.S military installation and in local communities throughout the world. Founded on April 4th of 2011 and Incorporated on May 15, 2011, KEΨ continues to focus on its mission and vision; in an effort to continue propelling our Sisterhood upward and forward.

The Founders of Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority Incorporated are: Shica Hill & Moneka Smith.

The First Initiates of Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority are: Ciera Burts, Kayla Hall, Keondra Harris, Marga Horn, Kesia Loyd-Brown & Ariane Wyatt, Jennifer Berry.

The First Chapter of Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority Incorporated:
On May 25, 2013, twenty dynamic women successfully chartered the first chapter of KEΨ. Since the chartering of our first chapter (Honolulu Alpha), numerous other Sorors & women (serving state side & abroad) have begun the process of bringing KEΨ chapters to their local communities.

On July 4, 2013 a group of military men had begun the process of forming a new military fraternity and wanted to meet with KEΨ to gain additional insight on the process. On July 16, 2013 Soror Shica Hill met with Mr. William Dickey, a husband of a KEΨ Soror (and 1 of the 3 KLC Founders) to discuss the formation of a brother fraternity to KEΨ. Two weeks after the initial meeting on July 25, 2013, the Founders of KLC & KEΨ officially met to discuss becoming constitutionally bound. A week after the joint meeting on August 1, 2013 the National Leadership of KEΨ unanimously voted in agreement to unite with Kappa Lambda Chi Military Fraternity.

On August 8, 2013 in the great state of North Carolina, Kappa Lambda Chi Military Fraternity was officially incorporated. The following week, KLC began recruiting & accepting applications for their now historic Alpha line.
